On this site so far we have highlighted the practical ways that you can currently use to save energy in your home.  Some of the ideas are on the border line with respect to cost and return but they gain more strength with every day as saving energy becomes more important and energy costs rise.  However, there are many new technologies in the pipeline from heat pumps to fuel cells which will slowly grow to be more important for the common household.  Below is a graph taken from an Energy Saving Trust report [Financing effective energy saving measures – consumer research] which highlights the technologies and their current awareness.  As time moves on, more and more will become open for common consideration.
